Data Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Data Analyst - Emerging Safety Investigation Analyst for a 6+ months Contract position with a client located in Fountain Valley, CA, * Emerging Vehicle Safety, Compliance and Regulation issue investigation., * Responsible for identifying and reporting safety, compliance and regulatory concerns on Client Vehicle models.

• Responsible for reviewing and creating escalation material for committee review.
• Works closely with Engineers from Safety Emerging Issues and Vehicle Safety Investigation teams as needed to assist in emerging issue detection and analysis.
• Review all assigned potential safety items (SODAS Alerts) within the analytics application and provide disposition.

3. Job requirements

• Identify potential safety related defects and/or FMVSS non-compliances associated with Client production vehicles through examination of consumer complaint data. These can include, but not limited to, the following: field reports, NHTSA VOQ data, legal cases, supplier information, dealer reports, plant information, safety recalls, compliance and consumer metric testing, and outliers in warranty data.
• Conduct timely, data driven investigations of possible issues that have been identified.
• Determine a preliminary severity, occurrence, and detectability scores using established metrics and standard operating procedures.
• Actively track and manage assigned cases / alerts to ensure KPIs are within requirements (including handling time, response time and reporting deadlines).
• Summarize for management review that clearly defines the issue, and the parameters outlined above.
• Provide immediate notification to upper management of potential high priority issues.
• This position will have access to Client expertise needed to complete investigations with review by Managers and Senior Managers.
• Liaise with client design, manufacturing, and supplier affiliates as needed.
• This is a support position, focused on delivering day-to-day tasks and analyses with a degree of autonomy while receiving general instructions and supervision.

• Experience using basic data processing tools (example: Excel, Alteryx) preferred.
• Completed or close to being completed - BS / BA degree in Engineering preferred.
• Physical requirements: Office duty

Pay Range: $37- $47/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
