Job description
- IT Roadmap: Execute a 3-year technology strategy that supports the company's growth targets and international expansion.
- Global Standardization: Harmonize IT policies, security protocols, and hardware standards across US and international sites to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Budget Management: Manage the global IT OpEx and CapEx budgets, prioritizing investments that drive ROI, automation, and risk mitigation.
- Enterprise Systems & Data Integrity
- Strategic Business Application Management: Oversee the implementation, optimization and maintenance of the corporate business applications, ensuring they meet the specific fiscal and operational requirements of each global region.
- Business Intelligence (BI): Implement and manage data analytics tools to provide leadership with real-time visibility into production, supply chain, and financial performance.
- Digital Transformation: Identify opportunities to integrate technologies into the manufacturing floor to improve throughput and quality.
- Infrastructure, Security & Compliance
- Cybersecurity: Establish a robust global security posture, including threat detection, incident response, and regular vulnerability assessments.
- Cloud Strategy: Manage the transition of localized legacy servers to a secure, scalable cloud or hybrid environment (e.g., Azure or AWS).
- Compliance: Ensure data privacy compliance across jurisdictions (e.g., US-specific Federal and State based standards, GDPR in Europe, and PIPL in China).
- Vendor & Team Management
- Global Support: Lead and mentor a lean internal team while managing third-party Business Application Implementation Partners and MSP to provide 24/7 support for global operations.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate and manage contracts with software, hardware, and telecommunications providers to ensure cost-efficiency.
Requirements
- This person should have exp with both applications and infrastructure
- MUST HAVE MFR experience
- Must have ERP experience, * Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration. An MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within an ETO manufacturing environment.
- Global Reach: Proven experience managing IT operations for a multi-national company, specifically navigating the unique technical and regulatory landscapes of Europe, India and China.
Technical Competencies:
- Deep expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Infor CloudSuite or Epicor Kinetic).
- Strong understanding of network architecture, SD-WAN, and cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of manufacturing-specific tech: MES, PLM, and SCADA systems.
Leadership Soft Skills:
- Cultural Intelligence: Ability to lead and influence teams across different time zones and cultures.
- Communication: A "translator" who can explain complex technical risks to non-technical executive leadership.
- Agility: Comfortable being "hands-on" when needed while maintaining a high-level strategic focus.
Working Conditions:
- Periodic "on-call" availability for critical global system failures.
- Occasional international travel (approx. 10-15%) to audit or set up international sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours occasionally to sync with teams in Europe and Asia.
