Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for food safety and precision? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our 3rd-shift manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will test, inspect, and audit products and processes at various stages to ensure strict adherence to established quality and food safety standards.
salary: $54,000 - $59,500 per year shift: Third work hours: 10 PM - 6:30 AM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
- Conduct Quality Audits & Testing: Perform rigorous analytical testing on raw materials and finished products (including fat, moisture, viscosity, and pH) and audit line paperwork to ensure strict adherence to company quality and food safety standards.
- Manage Product Dispositions: Identify non-conforming materials, packaging, or finished products, and execute the proper "hold" procedures, troubleshooting the issue to determine the appropriate corrective disposition.
- Maintain Safety & Lab Compliance: Conduct environmental sampling, verify allergen cleanups after line changeovers, audit critical control checks (metal detectors, magnets), and ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained under 5S and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
- Data Tracking & Verification: Utilize computer systems (like TraceGains and Quality Tracker) to log test results, evaluate data for deviations, verify supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and generate QA Key Performance Indicator graphs.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Attend daily 3rd-shift transition meetings to report quality issues to operations supervisors, collaborate with team members, and assist in training new QA technicians.
