Senior Java/Cloud Developer - Azure & Modern Applications #26115

Blue Chip Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Java/Cloud Developer to lead the modernization and migration of enterprise applications to the Azure cloud platform. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud engineering, modern application architecture, DevOps automation, and full-stack development. This is a Hybrid role, and candidates must be able to work on-site 3 days a week in Fort Worth, TX., Cloud Solution Design & Development

• Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
• Lead migration efforts from on-premise environments to cloud-based architectures
• Build and maintain modern microservices and microfrontend-based applications
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for development teams
• Drive architecture decisions and promote software engineering best practices

DevOps & Automation

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes

Performance & Reliability

• Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and cloud resource utilization
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability
• Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and operational readiness
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog

Security & Compliance

• Apply cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and secure access controls
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to maintain secure cloud environments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners, architects, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system workflows
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technology modernization strategies

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience using:
• Java
• PostgreSQL
• REST APIs
• Scalable microservices architecture
• Angular
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience designing and managing cloud applications at scale
• Experience developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using microfrontend architecture
• 3+ years of experience with:
• SQL
• Hibernate
• REST and/or SOAP web services
• Strong experience with:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Serverless architectures
• Terraform
• GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
• Datadog or other observability platforms, * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
