Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Space Systems Test and Verification Engineer to support the Meridian program, focusing on the integration and test of the Space to Ground Segment for a satellite communications (SATCOM) system. The ideal candidate will have a background in Systems Engineering, with a focus on designing, developing, and executing system integration tests.

As the System Test and Verification Engineer, your roles will be:

  • Perform as a Test Engineer responsible for execution of test procedures during testing
  • Review, evaluate and have an understanding of test requirements
  • Develop, prepare and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules supporting production and development programs
  • Have an understanding of and support lower-level checkouts that build up to system level demonstrations
  • Perform integration studies, tasks, and implementation
  • Support System Engineering in the development and verification of System and Segment requirements
  • Perform data review and data reduction, and generate final test reports
  • Document test anomalies found during test execution and lead troubleshooting, to identify root cause and corrective actions to resolve technical issues, and develop re-test procedures, as needed
  • Prepare Test Readiness Review and Test Exit Review presentation packages
  • Identify and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Have an understanding of and perform job duties using the principles and disciplines of Test Engineering including procedures, process discipline and command media

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Understanding of system testing principles, methodologies, and techniques; including test planning, execution, and reporting

  • Experience in agile development process, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

  • Experience with MBSE Tools (e.g CAMEO) with knowledge of system test concepts

  • Active or current Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Desired skills :

  • 3+ years of experience performing Systems Engineering and integration activities in the aerospace industry, with a focus on ground segments or satellite communications systems

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools

  • Experience as part of a larger system focused technical team, with knowledge of the space to ground segment interface

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering fields to develop MBSE products, test plans and procedures

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

  • Active Top Secret security clearance, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135.
