Job description
- Design, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise production databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and developers to translate business needs into effective database solutions.
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, implementing improvements and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Implement and test disaster recovery and high availability solutions, including clustering and replication technologies.
- Perform database security management, including user provisioning, security configuration, auditing, and compliance standards.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UNIX?, Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Database Engineer IV- to join their team. As a Database Engineer IV-, you will be part of the IT Department supporting database management and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization., * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Deep experience supporting Oracle databases on RAC or ExaData/ExaCC/ExaCS platforms, with hands-on work with Oracle 12.1 through 19c.
- Proficiency in database installation, upgrading, migrating, patching, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Experience with Oracle OEM, RMAN backup and restore, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and PowerShell, and familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
