Job description
- Design, deploy, administer, and maintain infrastructure solutions across Azure and on-premises environments.
- Manage and support VMware virtualization platforms, including host, storage, and virtual machine lifecycle administration.
- Administer, patch, harden, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers in production and non-production environments.
- Support database infrastructure for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, including installation coordination, performance monitoring, backup validation, and issue resolution in partnership with database teams.
- Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance, and proactively resolve incidents and root causes.
- Assist with network-related tasks such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLAN coordination, firewall rule requests, load balancer coordination, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Plan and complete ERP infrastructure migrations, including environment builds, dependency mapping, cutover support, validation, and post-migration stabilization.
- Plan and implement infrastructure migrations, including server, application, and platform moves from one data center to another with minimal downtime and strong change control.
- Develop and maintain user documentation for system configurations, migration runbooks, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery processes.
- Collaborate with application owners, ERP teams, security teams, network engineers, vendors, and project managers to deliver stable and scalable solutions.
- Some travel may be required
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, VMware virtualization, Linux and Windows server administration, database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, foundational networking, ERP infrastructure migrations, and complex migrations between data centers. The ideal candidate is a versatile infrastructure professional who can troubleshoot across multiple technology stacks, improve reliability and security, and lead infrastructure modernization initiatives supporting critical business systems., * 5+ years of experience in cloud/systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar IT operations role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, identity integration, and monitoring.
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere or related virtualization technologies.
- Proven administration experience with both Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments.
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewall coordination.
- Experience demonstrating support for ERP infrastructure environments and ERP-related infrastructure migration initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience planning or supporting data center migrations, infrastructure relocation, or workload migrations.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and multi-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with automation or scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability design principles.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and security hardening.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, Linux, or Microsoft Windows Server certifications.
