Job description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Administrator II in Lake Mary, FL., * Design, implement, administer, and monitor VMware vCenter Server and ESXi environments
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP administration
- Support and administer Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve networking issues across an enterprise, multi-site hybrid environment
- Perform daily backup operations, infrastructure monitoring, and routine maintenance using enterprise management tools
- Diagnose, repair, and recover systems from hardware or software failures
- Apply Windows operating system patches and upgrades, and configure or deploy new services as needed
- Administer Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments
- Provide guidance and mentorship to System Administrator I staff and Help Desk analysts, serving as an escalation point for complex end-user support issues
- Support cybersecurity operations by managing and monitoring endpoint detection and response platforms and participating in investigations
- Prepare accurate and timely IT status reports and related documentation
- This position requires periodic remote work (10%-20%) and availability during some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Perform other operational duties as assigned
Requirements
- Four years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including configuration, administration, and monitoring
- Three years of hands-on experience with VMware in a clustered or hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environment
- Three years of hands-on experience with SCCM or Intune or comparable endpoint management system
- Familiar with Azure and AWS environments, VPC, EC2, VNet
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
