Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing complex systems and components across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, civil, systems, and quantum engineering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving system design, research, and advanced manufacturing processes. The successful applicant will utilize a broad skill set encompassing CAD design, data analysis, project management, and technical research to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards., * Develop detailed system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and improve product performance.
  • Manage project schedules, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
  • Perform data collection and analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, and scripting languages to support research and development initiatives.
  • Create schematics, technical drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and construction applications.
  • Utilize 3D scanners and other laboratory tools for precise measurements and prototype development.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, construction, and laboratory teams to optimize system design for real-world applications.
  • Apply principles of systems engineering to integrate various subsystems into cohesive solutions.
  • Conduct research in emerging fields such as quantum engineering to incorporate innovative technologies into product designs.
  • Support project management activities by preparing technical reports, progress updates, and presentations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and SolidWorks; experience with GD&T is preferred.

  • Strong mechanical engineering background with knowledge of mechanical design principles.
  • Experience with system design, systems engineering, and project scheduling.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, construction standards, and laboratory
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects.
  • Understanding of civil engineering concepts as applicable to large-scale projects.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience with 3D scanning technology for precise measurement tasks.
  • Strong data collection skills along with the ability to analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Research experience in advanced engineering fields such as quantum or mechanical engineering is a plus.
