As a key member of our cybersecurity team, this role is responsible for proactively identifying, evaluating, and managing security risks across information systems, applications, and infrastructure. You will not only document findings and measure the effectiveness of existing controls, but also ensure regulatory compliance, drive process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop robust strategies that enhance our security posture. Success in this role requires deep cybersecurity expertise, superb communication abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement., + Conduct in-depth risk assessments of organizational systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify and quantify potential security threats.
Utilize established risk management methodologies to analyze, interpret, and prioritize security risks based on likelihood and business impact.
Develop clear, actionable reports outlining vulnerabilities, risk levels, and recommendations for mitigation; deliver these findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of existing security controls, recommending targeted enhancements where needed.
Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies; keep risk management practices up to date with evolving legal and business landscapes.
Closely monitor changes in cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and best practices to inform and update risk assessment approaches.
Maintain collaborative relationships with cybersecurity colleagues, IT teams, business units, and executive stakeholders to gather risk data and build consensus around mitigation strategies.
Lead or participate in the design, implementation, and validation of risk mitigation plans tailored to business needs.
Continuously improve risk assessment procedures and tools to ensure they reflect dynamic cybersecurity environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant professional experience (experience in vendor risk or enterprise risk assessments preferred).
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC highly desirable.
Demonstrated success in performing cybersecurity risk assessments, vendor/third-party risk evaluations, or related functions.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
Strong analytical skills and an adaptable, solution-focused mindset.
