Job description

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: Implementation of new network security requirements. Assist with design and implementation of macro and micro network segmentation. Implement new operational technology (OT) security hardware and software. Integrate OT network segmentation with information technology (IT) network segmentation. Develop network security assessment requirements for IT and OT devices.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: With limited supervision, implement and document network changes for assigned tasks. Provide weekly report to network services manager. Provides input into the design of networks and network security. Responds to network outages and network security incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with transportation design, networking, applications and integration.

  • 5+ years of experience with network and network security design and implementation.

  • 5+ years of experience with TCP/IP, network security protocols, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, MPLS, VRF, Cisco SD-WAN, SNMP, wireless infrastructure (urwb, wifi, cellular, 4g/5g), cisco ftd/fmc.

  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco XDR, Cisco secure access, Cisco secure endpoint, Cisco network analytics, Cisco ISE, and NIST cybersecurity framework (CSF) and the ITS profile.

  • 5+ years of experience with traffic signal controllers, conflict monitors, traffic preemption devices, traffic sensors, cctv, video cameras and connected vehicle technologies. PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Cisco Cybervision and Cisco catalyst center

  • Experience with Cisco ZTNA

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Cisco certification CCNP or greater

  • Statewide travel depending on needs

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs SOFT SKILLS:
