Job description
Anakim Consulting Inc. is hiring a Junior level DevOps Engineer with experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to support an AWS enterprise cloud environment. Qualified candidates will have foundational experience designing and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure and an interest in learning and growing in the role., * Work as part of a dynamic DevSecOps team supporting migration of physical and on-prem infrastructure to AWS cloud.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using CI/CD tools such as GitLab Runners.
- Support DevOps infrastructure following IaC principles and best practices.
- Support team in developing and maintaining provisioning/deprovisioning, monitoring and auditing AWS cloud infrastructure using automation tools.
- Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, as required.
- Use Ansible and similar configuration and automation tools to support automation.
- Demonstrate consistent interest in learning and applying new tools and technologies to leverage industry best practices and enhance productivity.
- Support Agile team and participate across iterative development lifecycle.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship)
- Ability to obtain U.S. Government security access (Public Trust level)
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related discipline
- Equivalent years of related experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years of related experience supporting cloud engineering or DevOps in AWS enterprise technology environment
- AWS Certification at Associate Level Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and operating models
- Demonstrated experience working hand-on with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization supporting DevOps environment
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and technologies such as AWS or Terraform
- Configuration Management experience using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools
- Demonstrated proficiency with scripting in one or more languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash to support automation tasks
- Ability to estimate timelines and workloads and estimate cost strategies to optimize implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional or Specialty AWS Certification is a plus
- Terraform Associate Certification is a plus
- Experience or strong understanding of Agile methodologies is preferred
- Experience with FinOps in an AWS cloud solution is a plus
