Job description
In this role, you would be ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and precision of measurement systems and test methods used in product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance. This role includes developing, validating, and maintaining test methods-both for measurement systems and product performance testing., * Collaborate with process development engineers to design, develop, validate, and maintain test methods for both measurement systems and product performance testing (ie. tensile testing, torque testing, stiffness).
- Ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Support, identify, program and operate advanced measurement equipment, including various inspection systems, such as Hexagon, Micro-Vu, Keyence to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute product performance test methods that evaluate functionality, durability, and compliance with specifications.
- Analyze and interpret measurement and test data. Conduct Gage R&R.
- Provide training and support to team members on equipment operation and test method procedures.
- Stay current with industry standards, advancements in measurement and testing technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Document and maintain records of test method development and validation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Verification of laboratory test methods?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR
- Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
- Experience with test fixture development.
- Strong understanding of test method development and validation.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a medical device or other highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with SPC software systems (Infinity QS, etc.)
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
