Job description
DUTIES: Conducts design and development work in the areas of new products and technologies, systems and platform architecture, hardware and software development engineering, technical security and QA design and certification. Work on new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation and software maturity. Serve as a subject matter expert during the continuous integration and continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. Work with colleagues, partner organizations, and vendors focusing on network security hardening and implementation of security infrastructure within the service provider network. Ensure security policy and best practices are adhered to for new technology introduction, respond to network impacting outages and perform root cause analysis for network impacting events. Document configurations and procedures for deployment for security and network infrastructure for vendors including Palo Alto, Trent Micro Tipping Point, Juniper, Cisco, Splunk, Tenable and GitHub. Provide on call support for security infrastructure and security services offered to our business customers and consumers. Work to replace end of service life network and security infrastructure. Utilize Windows, Linux and Unix. Utilize SQL, Python, and PowerShell. Perform network engineering and operations for a service provider network. Utilize Azure, AWS and Google.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Palo Alto, Trent Micro Tipping Point, Juniper, Cisco, Splunk, Tenable and GitHub; utilizing Windows, Linux and Unix; utilizing SQL, Python, and PowerShell; performing network engineering and operations for a service provider network; and utilizing Azure, AWS and Google.
