Job description
We are seeking a Senior Avionics Test Engineer to join our Avionics team. Guided by our values, "Safety Above All", we proactively manage the risks inherent in human spaceflight through our daily actions. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience working with complex electro-mechanical systems in aerospace or a related field. We are looking for a generalist who will contribute to several roles in a fast-paced environment. Support the company strategy by holding ourselves and one another accountable for getting the work done.
Responsibilities
- Develop hardware-in-the-loop test equipment
- Troubleshoot test failures
- Support testing of Avionics systems and components across hardware and software including environmental qualification.
- Write test plans and procedures
- Document design issues and work with engineering teams to resolve
- Support avionics production
- Execute system checkouts on the integrated vehicle
- Provide delegate Functional Leadership as required
- Work collaboratively to achieve goals and/or complete assigned tasks
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wiring diagram creation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree in engineering?, * Must have a B.Sc. Engineering degree from an accredited university
- Experience with component and system-level testing
- Experience developing test benches
- Experience documenting wiring schematics
- LabVIEW and/or Python development skills
- Experience with NI Veristand a plus
- Experience with Environmental/Electrical Qualification standards such as RTCA-DO160, Mil-STD 461
- 8 or more years of relevant integration and testing experience in aerospace or similar field
- Experience with embedded system hardware and software
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
- Experience with leading and mentoring Junior Engineers
- Demonstrate willingness to adjust thinking and behavior.
- Ability to communicate in a manner that is timely, respectful, and open to other ideas
Benefits & conditions
The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $108,871.00-$166,036.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
