Job description
We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst - Integrations to support enterprise application systems, data integrations, business workflows, software testing, and quality assurance activities in a complex public-sector technology environment.
This role will work with internal business users, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define requirements, troubleshoot application and integration issues, support system enhancements, document workflows, conduct testing, and recommend process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise applications, APIs, middleware, data mapping, databases, application testing, workflow documentation, and integration support. Senior-level candidates may also support integration design, application prototypes, process automation, and complex troubleshooting across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
- Meet with internal customers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, application needs, system goals, and workflow challenges.
- Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application, system, workflow, and integration issues.
- Review existing applications, integrations, and business processes to recommend improvements.
- Support application integrations between enterprise systems, software platforms, databases, APIs, middleware tools, and data sources.
- Assist with application design, configuration, deployment, enhancement, maintenance, and integration activities.
- Develop or support programs, stored procedures, web services, APIs, scripts, or related technical components as needed.
- Support middleware solutions, data mapping, enterprise data flows, and integration processes.
- Coordinate and perform system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop and document test cases, workflows, requirements, issue logs, functional specifications, and recommended solutions.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, data flow issues, software errors, application performance problems, and workflow gaps.
- Identify risks and dependencies between applications, systems, integrations, and business processes.
- Provide recommendations to resolve conflicts, inefficiencies, data issues, and process gaps.
- Develop application prototypes, mockups, workflows, or functional documentation when needed.
- Support user training, application adoption, and change management activities.
- Work with technical teams, vendors, business users, and leadership to support project and operational goals.
- Support process automation and technology-driven workflow improvements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical/scientific field.
- 8 years of progressive experience as an application analyst, systems analyst, integration analyst, computer specialist, or related IT professional.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and application integrations.
- Strong understanding of APIs, middleware, data mapping, databases, stored procedures, web services, and business workflows.
- Experience developing test cases and supporting software testing activities.
- Experience with application testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, workflow documentation, and system troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical or functional solutions.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support business-critical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure applications or application engineering.
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing.
- Experience with customer information systems, payment systems, customer portals, work order management systems, or GIS-related workflow systems.
- Experience with Java, Python, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native applications, microservices, or API troubleshooting.
- Experience in public-sector, utility, municipal, water/sewer, or large enterprise environments.
Benefits & conditions
$40 - $60 an hour - Full-time, Contract
