Job description

Are you excited to contribute to a key player in the European energy transition while working in a highly dynamic IT environment?

As a Microsoft 365 Generalist / Software Solution Specialist , you will play a central role in the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services within a hybrid enterprise environment. You will support both Belgium and Germany-based teams in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient collaboration and communication services.

You will be part of a collaborative environment where cloud transformation, security, and operational excellence are key. Together with internal teams and other external specialists, you will contribute to a stable and future-proof digital workplace supporting critical energy infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune)
  • Manage users, licenses, and groups via Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
  • Ensure proper configuration of tenant and collaboration services

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security policies (MFA, Conditional Access, DLP)
  • Support compliance frameworks within Microsoft 365
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies where required

Support & Operations

  • Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis on M365-related issues
  • Provide second-line support to end users and IT teams
  • Monitor service health, performance, and capacity

Automation & Improvement

  • Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and Power Automate
  • Participate in the design and improvement of operational support systems
  • Contribute to continuous service optimization

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures
  • Liaise with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution
  • Provide training and best practices to users and support teams

Projects & Integration

  • Support onboarding, migrations, and hybrid (on-premise to cloud) environments
  • Implement and maintain Teams Rooms and collaboration solutions
  • Participate in design of IT service and operational support systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as Microsoft 365 Administrator, Engineer, or Specialist
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or automation tools
  • Understanding of Microsoft security & compliance (MFA, Conditional Access, DLP)
  • Experience with Intune and/or hybrid environments is an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Able to work structured and independently in complex environments

Languages

  • English: fluent (required)
  • French, Dutch, or German: a plus

Additional requirements

  • Full-time position
  • Participation in on-call / shift rotation (24/7 availability when required)
  • Security clearance required (in accordance with applicable regulations)
  • Experience in enterprise or multi-tenant environments is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage
