Job description

We're looking for a curious and hands-on Senior Data Analyst to help turn complex operational and sensor data into meaningful insights that drive smarter decisions across the business. In this role, you'll work with large-scale time-series and event-driven datasets, building scalable analytics solutions, automations, and dashboards that improve visibility, reliability, and performance. From identifying anomalies and uncovering trends to supporting AI-ready data initiatives and operational investigations, you'll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable outcomes while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the organisation.

  • Detect trends, anomalies, and performance deviations across distributed data sources
  • Quantify data correlations and correction factors to improve measurement accuracy and reliability
  • Build and optimize complex SQL and SparkSQL queries to deliver ad-hoc insights
  • Design reusable data pipelines and automations for monitoring and data quality checks
  • Automate KPI aggregation from APIs, databases, and external systems
  • Standardize analytical workflows and data-processing practices across teams
  • Curate and prepare datasets for AI, machine learning, and RAG-based applications
  • Design and maintain interactive BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions
  • Support root-cause investigations and provide rapid analytical support during operational incidents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
  • Act as a technical advisor for analytics best practices, tooling, and data-driven decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or a related field; a Master's degree is a strong advantage
  • Advanced SQL skills, with hands-on experience writing complex joins, leveraging window functions, and optimising query performance
  • Strong programming expertise in Python and PySpark, with the ability to analyse and automate large-scale data workflows
  • Experience working with complex datasets such as time-series, sensor, event-driven, or operational data
  • Familiarity with modern BI and data platforms, including tools such as Power BI, Spark, and Databricks
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to independently scope, execute, and deliver high-quality analytical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical insights into clear business recommendations
