Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable regulatory reporting data models within a banking environment.
- Build, optimize, and monitor big data pipelines using Apache Spark (Scala) to process large volumes of financial data.
- Transform complex regulatory requirements into robust, production-ready data solutions in collaboration with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams.
- Deploy and operate data solutions on AWS infrastructure, ensuring security, traceability, and auditability.
- Perform performance tuning, data quality controls, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability of critical reporting systems.
- Apply best practices in code quality, version control, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test cases?, Mandatory:
- Proven experience with AWS services (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda).
- Strong background in Big Data technologies: Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, and Apache Spark with Scala.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to replicate and validate code logic through SQL testing.
- Hands-on experience with code repositories and build tools (Git, Maven).
- DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD tools (Jenkins), scripting, deployment processes, and Jira.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments with high data governance standards.
Nice to Have:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language.
- Experience creating test cases and validation scenarios.
- Solid knowledge of Control-M (job creation, scheduling, parameter management).
- Experience in documentation, data analysis, and functional/technical specifications.
- Background in Financial Services or Banking (Retail, Business, or Corporate Banking).
- Unix / Linux experience.
- Working knowledge of GenAI tools used in engineering or data teams.
