Job description
This is not a sprint-based product DevOps role. You won't own a quarterly roadmap or ship features against a backlog. You'll sit on our Tiger Team: a small group that handles the operational work outside the regular sprint cadence - the urgent, the cross-cutting, the unowned, and the things that need a senior pair of hands before they become incidents.
On a given week you might respond to a high-severity production incident, harden an AWS account that's drifted from policy, automate a compliance control that's currently manual, untangle a deploy pipeline that's slowing three teams down, or write the postmortem that prevents the next outage. The work is real, but the shape of it changes week to week., * Work hands-on across our AWS and GCP infrastructure - availability, scalability, performance, security
- Contribute as a senior responder on high-severity incidents, freeing product engineering to stay on their roadmap
- Build infrastructure-as-code, automation, and observability that reduces operational toil across the company
- Take on the cross-team operational problems that don't fit cleanly into one squad's sprint
- Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and post-incident learning so we get better at every iteration
- Partner with engineering teams on deployment, developer experience, and architecture when they need senior infra input
- Share knowledge generously - mentor junior engineers, document what you learn, raise the floor
Requirements
Do you have experience in Scalability?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?
Benefits & conditions
- Are energized - not stressed - by switching contexts and owning problems end-to-end without a PM handing them to you
- Are comfortable being measured on outcomes (incidents prevented, toil eliminated, MTTR reduced) rather than tickets closed
- Can hold the long view while firefighting, so today's fix doesn't become tomorrow's debt
- Communicate clearly in writing - async, distributed, no hand-holding
- Push back when something is the wrong priority, and pick it up anyway when it's the right one, * A competitive salary
- 25 vacation days + your local national holidays
- A top-tier MacBook and remote-ready gear
- Monthly wellness budget to invest in your health
- Co-Working allowance
- Events, training, or courses that directly and primarily contribute to your work at Publitas
- Free books on Kindle and Audible
- Free Publitas Swag (merchandise)
