Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Operations Site Coordinator to join our IT Operations team reporting to our IT Operations Lead.
As an IT Operations Site Coordinator at Education Training Collective, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical leadership and the day-to-day operational delivery of IT support at your designated college site. You will ensure the reliable, secure and efficient operation of IT services for staff and students, act as the first point of technical escalation, and lead and coordinate the work of IT Operations Technicians to maintain consistent, SLA-driven service standards. You will also support and provide cover across other sites within the group when required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable and professional, with excellent IT troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to resolution. You will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, be able to prioritise and multi-task under pressure, and communicate clearly with both technical colleagues and non-technical users. You will be flexible, willing to travel between sites, and committed to continuous improvement - learning, adapting, and helping set the standard for quality user experience on site.
You will need a good general education, proven Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support capability (including diagnosing and fixing hardware/software faults), and a full, clean UK driving licence due to cross-site support requirements. Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential. Relevant industry certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA/CCNP are desirable; if you do not already hold these, the Group will support your development through on-the-job coaching, access to internal processes and standards, mandatory training (including safeguarding and Prevent), and ongoing professional development via appraisal and staff development sessions., Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer.
