Job description
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst (4) or Principal Industrial Security Analyst (3) in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a multi-faceted security position, for the support of the site and programs as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution and oversight of the Industrial Security Program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), customer requirements, and internal policies.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- DD254 management
- Supporting fast-paced, high-profile programs; create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers
- Develops, and administers, security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
- Conduct and oversee self-inspections, internal assessments, and preparation for DCSA reviews
- Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, transmission, and accountability of classified information and material
- Coordinate required security reporting (e.g., adverse information, security incidents, violations, and suspicious contacts)
- Provide security guidance and training to junior employees, site leadership, and program teams
- Interface with DCSA/ISRs, government customers, and internal leadership
- Support implementation of enterprise security initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials
- Conducts security education classes and related briefings. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
Requirements
This position can be filled at either a level 3 or level 4.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Industrial Security Analyst 3:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Industrial Security or relevant experience; OR MS Degree and 3+ years of Industrial Security or relevant experience; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with government security databases: DISS, NISS.
- Experience with safeguarding and accountability of classified information.
- Working knowledge of the following standards/documents; 32 CFR part 117, NISP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or 365, including MS Word, MS EXCEL.
- Current active SECRET Security Clearance, with ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance., * Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Industrial Security or relevant experience; OR MS Degree and 5+ years of Industrial Security or relevant experience; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with government security databases: DISS, NISS.
- Experience with safeguarding and accountability of classified information.
- Working knowledge of the following standards/documents; 32 CFR part 117, NISP.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with Multi Facility Organization (MFO); experience as supporting FSO and multiple programs
- Experience managing Security Vendors and keeping projects on schedule
- Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion
- Current Top-Secret clearance
- Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
- OPSEC program experience
- Insider Threat Program experience
- COMSEC experience
- CDSE - FSO Program Management for Processing Facilities certificate
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Willing to work extended hours, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills enabling effective communications
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
