The current vacancies are for the Networks Operations Team. The Napa County NetOps team is a collaborative group focused on securing and maintaining the critical backbone of the organization's infrastructure. We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented IT professional with a "security-first" mindset and s trong experience in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, virtualization and firewall management. Requirements
To qualify for the Info Systems Specialist II/Senior Information Systems Specialist classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
- Information Systems Specialist II Experience: Two years of programming, systems, and/or Web design and development experience in a governmental or business operation.
- Senior Information Systems Specialist Experience: Three years of programming and/or systems experience in governmental or business operation.
- Education: Equivalent to graduation from college with major course work in data processing, computer science, graphic design, or a closely related field, and minor course work in business principles. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

About Information Technology Services at Napa County: Napa County Information Technology Services (ITS) is a branch of the County Executive Office that provides technology services and solutions to all County departments, as well as a range of technology services to five special districts within the County. Each of these functional areas and special districts provide their unique services to the Napa County community and ITS plays a strategic role in fulfilling technology needs in support of these varying businesses. About the Position for Network Operations:
- Pay Range for Information Systems Specialist II: $51.45 per hour (Step 1) - $61.61 per hour (Step 5)
- Pay Range for Senior Information Systems Specialist: $57.54 per hour (Step 1) - $68.94 per hour (Step 5), Salaries are based on a five-step range. Appointments are usually made at the beginning step with advances occurring at six months and the completion of each year thereafter. Salary rates are reviewed annually.
