Job description

Our technical manufacturing client is looking for a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead end-to-end delivery of AI, ML, and GenAI initiatives. This individual will be responsible for driving Agile execution, including sprint ceremonies, team velocity improvement, and establishing best practices in low-maturity environments. They will design and implement Jira workflows from the ground up, tailoring boards and reporting to support AI delivery. The role requires close collaboration with data scientists, ML engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to define scope, milestones, and success metrics. This person will oversee AI model lifecycle activities, including development, deployment, monitoring, and retraining coordination. Strong communication with senior leadership is essential, ensuring alignment between technical execution and measurable business outcomes. This person will be working on multiple projects at one time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Technical Project Management / Scrum Master experience
  • At least 2 years supporting AI, ML, or GenAI initiatives
  • Hands-on experience building Jira environments (boards, workflows, reporting) from scratch
  • Strong understanding of full AI/ML lifecycle (data, training, deployment, monitoring)
  • Proven ability managing cross-functional teams (engineering + business stakeholders)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Background working with enterprise systems (ERP, LIMS, APIs, cloud platforms)
  • Experience working at a large company with complex projects

Benefits & conditions

This is a 7-month contract to hire opportunity, and they are looking for someone to go onsite 4 days a week in Wilmington, DE. The pay range is around $65-$70/hr., Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
