Job description
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot a live, global DoD network using network management and monitoring tools
- Resolve circuit and network issues using router commands, loop testing, alarms, and error analysis
- Research and diagnose monitoring errors using technical documentation and established procedures
- Create, update, and manage incident tickets using Remedy
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues in accordance with operational procedures
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience (high school diploma required; additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
- Experience with network operations functions such as alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
- Hands-on experience with networking technologies such as routers, switches, crypto devices, Cisco, Juniper, DWDM, MSPP, or optical switching
- General understanding of IP and transport network topologies and the ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment
- 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required at start date
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; DoD

- Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience
