Job description
We're looking for a Systems Administrator who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple client environments.
This is a highly impactful role where you'll act as a technical leader supporting critical systems, driving projects, mentoring team members, and partnering closely with IT leadership. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Maintain enterprise systems (SAN, firewalls, virtualization, networking)
- Perform ongoing maintenance (patching, backups, upgrades, monitoring)
- Implement high-availability and redundancy solutions
Project Leadership
- Lead 1-2 concurrent IT infrastructure projects (migrations, deployments, office moves)
- Support IT Managers/Directors with planning, execution, and resource coordination
- Contribute to system standardization and improvement initiatives
Advanced Support & Escalation
- Serve as the highest level of technical escalation
- Troubleshoot complex system and network issues
- Work directly with vendors and stakeholders during critical incidents
Security & Compliance
- Champion cybersecurity best practices (MFA, least privilege, monitoring)
- Conduct risk assessments and support compliance initiatives (CIS, NIST, etc.)
- Provide input into IT strategy, budgeting, and optimization
Client & Team Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Mentor junior IT staff and support training efforts
- Participate in a collaborative, high-accountability culture
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, 5+ years of experience in systems administration or enterprise IT
Strong expertise in:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
- Active Directory (GPOs, OU design, LDAP)
- Windows Server (DNS, DHCP, DFS, NPS)
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing)
- Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Cloud platforms (Azure)
- Backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup)
- PowerShell scripting
Preferred:
- Experience with security tools (Nessus, nmap, etc.)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (CIS, NIST)
- Familiarity with compliance standards (SOX, HIPAA, CCPA, ISO)
- Exposure to Linux environments
