KBR is seeking a Cloud Enterprise Architect to support our customer in Chantilly, VA. The position requires the employee to draft critical documents necessary to establish new contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience within the Intelligence Community with a high level of familiarity with standard systems engineering approaches and modeling techniques.

Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense., The Cloud Enterprise Architect provides technical advisory support to our customer, assisting in the design and evaluation of enterprise cloud solutions. This role supports the development and integration of cloud architectures that enable mission-critical space and intelligence capabilities. The architect analyzes technical solutions, contributes to architecture development efforts, and ensures alignment with mission and security requirements. The position works closely with government stakeholders and development teams to assess cloud strategies, architectures, and implementation approaches. This role operates in a classified environment and supports modernization efforts across distributed and multi-domain systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide SETA support for the development and evaluation of enterprise cloud architectures supporting mission systems
- Assist in reviewing system designs, architecture artifacts, and technical implementations for cloud-based solutions
- Support technical assessments, trade studies, and analysis of cloud adoption strategies and technology options
- Contribute to integration efforts across hybrid, multi-cloud, and classified environments
- Evaluate contractor and vendor cloud solutions for compliance with mission and security requirements
- Assist in development and maintenance of architecture documentation, including DoDAF or equivalent frameworks
- Support cloud governance, security architecture considerations, and accreditation activities
- Provide input to requirements development, system engineering processes, and acquisition planning
- Contribute to enterprise data architecture, interoperability, and system integration initiatives
Requirements
- Intermediate-level experience:
- Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise; OR
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise; OR
- No degree with 10+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with eligibility for polygraph
- Experience supporting cloud environments or enterprise IT systems within DoD or Intelligence Community settings
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and enterprise system architecture principles, * Experience supporting IC space/counterspace mission systems
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, Security+, or similar)
- Experience with hybrid cloud, cross-domain solutions, or secure classified cloud environment
