Job description
As an AI Solution Architect, you will design and deliver AI-enabled solutions that support a wide range of business and back-office teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and other enterprise functions. You will translate business needs into secure, scalable, production-ready AI architectures and guide delivery teams through implementation.
This role sits within the Operational AI organization, which focuses on embedding AI capabilities into core enterprise workflows. You will design solutions within established reference architectures and standards. Your focus is on applying AI patterns to solve real-world manual work bottlenecks while providing feedback to help evolve the enterprise's architectural guardrails
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based from either Houston or Dallas, TX., * Design end-to-end AI systems, including retrieval-based architectures, agent-based orchestration, and multi-model workflows in production environments
- Partner with business and back-office teams to translate requirements into technical designs
- Guide engineering teams through implementation to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready
- Apply approved architectural patterns for GenAI, automation, orchestration, and agent-based workflows
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, data governance, observability, and reliability
- Review solution designs and implementations for alignment with architectural guardrails
- Evaluate and communicate technical trade-offs related to cost, latency, scalability, and operational risk
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree plus at least 10 years of professional engineering experience in enterprise or distributed systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience and education
- Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end enterprise solutions
- Strong architectural foundation in backend systems, APIs, and distributed or event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience designing AI-enabled solutions such as retrieval-based systems, orchestration flows, or agent-style workflows
- Deep understanding of operational readiness, including versioning, security controls, and system monitoring
- Experience working within defined architectural standards or reference architectures, * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience delivering AI solutions across multiple enterprise or back-office domains
- Experience operationalizing GenAI solutions with real users, governed data, and ongoing lifecycle management
- Experience collaborating closely with senior or principal architects
Benefits & conditions
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $190000 to $240000.
