Job description

The Senior Technical Support Audiologist will be part of the Auditory Technical Services team within the Quality organization. This role is responsible for providing advanced clinical and technical support to field teams, cochlear implant centers, audiologists, and recipients. The position supports complex troubleshooting, product complaint investigations, clinical training, and special projects while partnering closely with Customer Service, field teams, and internal stakeholders., * Support the Technical Support Hotline, including Audiology on Call inquiries

  • Provide programming and troubleshooting support for complex cochlear implant cases
  • Report, document, and follow up on clinical and technical issues through the complaint management system
  • Assist with product investigations and provide audiology support for clinical trials
  • Support regional teams with virtual clinical support visits as appropriate
  • Participate in product, service, and process enhancement projects within Auditory Technical Services
  • Provide advanced technical product training and mentor Technical Support Audiologists as needed

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Audiology required; Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in clinical audiology and cochlear implant fittings
  • Strong understanding of current and legacy Advanced Bionics products
  • Experience with troubleshooting and field support in the cochlear implant industry preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work well in a team environment
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, CCC-A, or Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, FAAA, preferred

  • Ability to provide clear, professional, and compassionate support to clinical partners and recipients
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage advanced technical issues
  • Comfortable supporting complaint documentation and product investigation processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new software platforms and applications
  • Flexible, collaborative, and able to build trust across internal and external teams

Travel

  • 5-10% travel may be required

How we work

This is a remote position. The selected candidate must be able to work independently while staying closely connected with internal teams, field partners, and clinical customers.

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $83,200 - 102,000 annually . This role is also commission eligible/bonus eligible.
