Job description
The Senior Solutions Architect serves as the technical lead responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end enterprise technology solutions supporting Department of Justice (DoJ) mission objectives. This role leads solution architecture efforts across cloud environments, low-code platforms, and enterprise system integrations while ensuring alignment with DoJ enterprise architecture standards, Federal security requirements, and FedRAMP compliance frameworks.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader with deep expertise in cloud architecture, systems integration, and enterprise modernization initiatives within complex Federal IT environments., * Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solution architectures supporting DoJ enterprise systems and modernization initiatives.
- Ensure all technical solutions align with DoJ enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership for system integration efforts involving enterprise applications, platforms, APIs, and third-party technologies.
- Design and implement solutions leveraging low-code and no-code platforms to improve operational efficiency and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, developers, cybersecurity teams, and Government stakeholders to define technical strategies and implementation roadmaps.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve mission performance and operational effectiveness.
- Lead technical solution reviews, architecture governance activities, and design validation processes.
- Ensure interoperability, scalability, performance, and security are incorporated throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Support Agile development and DevSecOps practices to enable continuous delivery and modernization efforts.
- Develop architecture artifacts, technical documentation, diagrams, and implementation guidance for stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful solution deployment and sustainment.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, systems engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions within Federal Government environments.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies and cloud architecture principles.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise system integration, APIs, middleware, and distributed systems.
- Experience supporting FedRAMP, Federal security compliance requirements, and enterprise governance standards.
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms and enterprise automation capabilities.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, software development lifecycle methodologies, and Agile delivery models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Justice (DoJ) or other Federal Civilian agencies.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience or certifications preferred.
- Cloud certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with DevSecOps, containerization, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Familiarity with enterprise data architecture, identity management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience integrating SaaS, cloud-native, and legacy enterprise applications.
