Tuning Technician

Canepa is looking for an experienced automotive technician to join our team! This individual must be quality-minded, hardworking, and dedicated to providing the highest level of service in the industry. We are seeking a person who is highly professional, who can work individually, as well as part of a multifunctional team.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Engine diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more
• Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine performance
• Tune automotive engines for optimal performance
• Communicate with the Shop Foreman about necessary repairs and provide time estimates

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, with a focus on performance tuning and diagnostics
• Proficient in operating Dynapack and other chassis dynamometers for performance testing and tuning
• Knowledgeable in electronic fuel injection system development, diagnosis, and troubleshooting
• Experience with basic internal engine repair, rebuilds, and setup procedures
• Expertise in turbocharger, wastegate, and intercooler system development and tuning
• Strong electrical experience, including working with automotive electrical systems and wiring
• Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday), with willingness to work overtime when needed

Preferred:

• Strong expertise in MoTeC and other engine management system tuning and calibration for high-performance and exotic vehicles
• Experience working on Porsche vehicles, including performance upgrades and system tuning
