Job description
We are looking for a Senior DevRel Engineer who lives at the frontier of agentic systems and crypto infrastructure, someone who ships exploratory code before others have finished reading the docs.
This role is built around one core function: building. You will spend most of your time prototyping agentic applications on top of Crossmint's APIs, stress-testing new frameworks and protocols as they emerge, and turning sharp technical instincts into reference implementations that move the ecosystem forward. When a new agent framework ships or a new protocol launches, you are already running experiments.
You have a public track record (GitHub repos, threads, demos, or past projects) that shows you have been building in this space, not watching it from the sidelines. You do not wait to be pointed at something interesting. You find it, build on it, and share what you learned.
The external-facing work (content, community, workshops) matters, but it flows from the building. Your credibility comes from the code. Responsibilities
Prototyping and Exploratory Development
- Build proofs of concept, demos, and reference implementations at the intersection of agentic AI and crypto/stablecoin infrastructure.
- Proactively track and evaluate emerging agent frameworks, protocols, and developer tooling, and build on them before anyone asks you to.
- Stress-test Crossmint's APIs and SDKs from a developer's perspective, identifying friction points early and proposing concrete fixes.
- Maintain a library of starter kits, demo apps, and integration examples that reflect current best practices and the actual state of the ecosystem.
Technical Content and Education
- Translate exploratory work into tutorials, walkthroughs, blog posts, and videos that help developers understand what is possible.
- Lead workshops, hackathons, and live coding sessions focused on real, working implementations rather than slide decks.
- Improve documentation and onboarding flows based on what you learn building and from direct developer feedback.
Community and Ecosystem
- Engage actively in developer communities on Discord, GitHub, X, and forums, particularly where agentic AI and crypto intersect.
- Build relationships with builders, researchers, and early adopters working at this frontier.
- Surface patterns from community interactions and feed them back into product and engineering.
Product Collaboration
- Partner with product and engineering to communicate developer friction, feature gaps, and emerging use cases you are seeing in the field.
- Contribute to API design discussions with a developer-experience lens.
- Track adoption and engagement signals to help prioritize where to invest., * Extensive access to leading AI tools and subscriptions, with AI actively encouraged and integrated into daily workflows.
- Stock options program.
- We conduct two performance reviews annually. The first addresses performance ratings, bonuses, and promotions. The second encompasses these elements along with salary adjustments reflecting inflation and market conditions.
- Unlimited, flexible PTO.
- Parental Leave Program.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Company laptop and allowance for any necessary home equipment.
- Daily stipend for commuting to the office.
- Company-paid trips for annual off-sites and onsites.
- Insurance covered by Crossmint.
- 401(k) Plan.
Our Principles
- Results and delivery: Ship high quality work fast.
- Build for the long term: Build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Use AI.
- Extreme Ownership: Be an effective Directly Responsible Individual (DRI). Be proactive.
- Be a team player: Be an effective and kind colleague providing credible challenge. Be present and reliable.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in developer relations, solutions engineering, or a similar role with a heavy emphasis on building., * 4+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, solutions engineering, or a similarly hands-on technical role.
- Demonstrated experience building with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Vercel AI SDK, or similar) with public work to show for it.
- Background in crypto, Web3, or fintech infrastructure is a strong signal, especially if you have built at the intersection with AI agents.
- A public portfolio: GitHub repos, demo projects, published content, or a timeline of experiments that shows how you engage with new technology.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, authentication, webhooks, and how developers actually integrate third-party infrastructure.
- Comfortable shipping full-stack applications and working across the stack when a demo requires it.
- Experience working with wallets, stablecoins, smart contracts, or on-chain protocols is a meaningful plus.
How You Work
- High agency: you identify what needs to exist, build it, and ship it without waiting for a detailed brief.
- Proactively chase new frameworks and protocols. You are in the GitHub issues and Discord servers of tools that launched last week.
- Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a complex system clearly to a developer who has never seen it.
- Collaborative with product and engineering teams, and comfortable representing the developer perspective in technical discussions.
