Job description

  1. Alongside the MSP or 3rd party IT Vendor, work throughout the community troubleshooting and providing support for users for multiple IT applications and computer devices.

  2. Support and maintain all Microsoft and Apple desktop systems.

  3. Provide support services for resident and team members IT needs.

  4. Ensure newly hired team members have required IT hardware and accesses.

  5. Help drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions for their needs.

  6. Understand residents and team members technology issues by asking probing questions, listening, asking clarifying questions, taking detailed notes, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.

  7. Monitor work orders and provides accurate status updates to customers.

  8. Understand active directory and system administration in order to assist the MSP with issues or projects.

  9. Perform basic network trouble shooting.

  10. Provide corporate telecommunications support including employee phone/fax and cell.

  11. Provide resident and staff training on IT system operations including protocols for IT support calls.

  12. Where appropriate, provide first line of support and collaborate with vendors on a variety of systems to include but limited to:

a. Residential & Commercial Connectivity and bandwidth

b. Corporate IT systems including Electronic Medical Records, payroll/time clock system.

c. Facility audio / visual systems.

d. Technology based life safety systems.

  1. Interact with vendors daily to ensure a prompt resolution of software, hardware, and related issues.

  2. Order and keep inventory of employee computers, printers, peripherals and supplies.

  3. Assist with budget planning as needed.

  4. Establish and maintain corporate software licensing program to ensure compliance with manufacture End User License Agreement (EULA).

  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

  6. Partner with the Health and Wellness Navigator to ensure technology in level-of-care transitions is a top priority including phone, computer, TV, smart home devices, etc.

  7. Ensure that resident records & EMR transition in conjunction with resident movement throughout the continuum of care.

OTHER DUITES:

  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

  • May require occasional on-call or weekend work to address critical outages.

  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director., Responsible for abiding by all Carillon policies and procedures to include the Code of Ethics and the principles and standards set forth for conducting the business and affairs of Carillon, Inc.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)

Responsible for abiding by all Carillon policies and procedures relating to HIPAA.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS administration?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Skilled in presenting complex information to groups and individuals.

  • Demonstrates advanced oral and written communication skills.

  • Capable of functioning independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.

  • Demonstrates the ability to define problems and suggest/implement solutions.

  • Demonstrates strong planning, organizational, presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrates understanding and empathy for the unique needs of the elderly.

  • Must display a courteous, friendly and helpful customer-service oriented attitude toward residents, family members, and other stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Associate degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred.

High school graduate or equivalent with at least 5 years of IT experience acceptable.

Experience: Related MIS, IT, IS, or system administration experience required with knowledge of Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems.

PERSONAL AND PUBLIC CONTACT

Will have personal contact with all levels of Carillon staff, residents, family members, vendors, and other elder care professionals.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL CONDITION S

Must be able to sit for up to 50% of the workday. Must be able to stand and walk throughout the community for up to 50% of the workday. Must be able to push or pull 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to bend and reach. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.

Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $30.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday, some on-call
