AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) is IS&T's engine for AI-powered innovation. The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning - including generative AI - along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.\n\nThe most important story about any Apple application is data. As a software engineer in AiDP data services team, you will work on building database managed services and data streaming platform that power some of Apple's most critical business use cases. You will collaborate with exceptional database engineering teams and internal stakeholders in building these solutions.
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate software engineer with experience in building data streaming or data centric solutions. We expect the candidate to influence platform tools, APIs and architecture. This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to deliver a best in class\nproduct in a dynamic environment.\n
2+ years of extensive professional experience with the Go or Java programming language.\n3+ years of software development experience\nExperience in developing highly optimized SQLs, procedures for distributed data applications.\nBS in Computer Science, or similar degree or equivalent industry experience\n
MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience\nWorks well in dynamic environments, collaborating effectively with many other teams across our organization\nStrong programming in Golang, as you'll be working extensively with Go based systems, building both services and client software\nHands-on experience in designing and development of cloud-based applications that include compute services, database services, APIs to design RESTful/gRPC services, ETL, queues and notification services.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization\nKnowledge in multi-threading, concurrency and parallelism\nHave written or contributed to a batch or realtime processing system\nAble to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
