Requirements

This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) .

Required for Both Levels:

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must have a current or ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Must have experience with any of the following tools: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, Code Analysis/Fuzzing Tools

Systems Engineer (T-02):

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree

Principal Systems Engineer (T-03):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years experience with a Master of Science degree; 1 year experience with a PhD, * Bachelor's degree in nuclear, electrical, or software engineering discipline
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • 1 year of experience with development or verification of electrical or software requirements
  • Experience supporting a major program event (e.g. SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.) for a DoD program
  • Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107)
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer (level 2) / Principal Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer (level 3) to join its team in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
