Job description

  • Alignment of sourcing and procurement plans to development engine program needs, ultimately resulting in high quality and on-time delivery of development engine hardware
  • Present to senior leadership and the customer on the status of sourcing, procurement, and other key NPI initiatives
  • Champion process improvement through business intelligence; drive innovative solutions using business analytics and automation tools
  • Drive the use of a suite of analytics tools aimed at optimally selecting sources, enabling the program to move faster than our competitors and adversaries
  • Identify and implement robust sourcing plans for every critical part, considering incumbency, supplier performance, and competitiveness
  • Develop and execute strategies to address NPI's constrained commodities, including the development of new suppliers, obtaining organizational alignment on make vs. buy, or securing capacity commitments from key suppliers
  • Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain CoE and other functions to knowledge share and pursue synergies with similar projects elsewhere in the company
  • Support Digital / MB-DMI maturity of the supply chain, including specific focus on commodities that are not yet in position to support customer requirements
  • Support and own special projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from ideation to closure including data management and detailed analysis
  • Use Agile & Scrum methodologies to accelerate results and obtain Agile program management certification
  • Hybrid with 3 days on site per week

Requirements

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Project Engineering, Data analytics/business systems, or related fields

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Experience communicating at varied levels of internal and customer organizations
  • Experience using SAP, with ability to locate and mine relevant source data
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, and other data analytics software with willingness to further develop skillset
  • Familiarity with PowerBI or other data visualization tools
  • Ability to travel as needed 10-15%

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

The Global Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI) team is seeking a Commodity Integration Senior Analyst to integrate sourcing and material procurement with P&W's next generation engine development programs. NPI Commodity Integration seeks to drive innovation, and not just through new product designs. NPI Commodity Integration drives novel business processes, accelerates business intelligence, and drives meaningful change in the aerospace industrial base. The Commodity Integration Manager is viewed as a key stakeholder in cross functional teams that include Program Management, Production Chiefs, CIPTs, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Legal, and Strategic Sourcing. The ideal candidate for this role is self-driven and results-oriented with a problem-solving mentality. This is the primary customer-facing role for NPI Global Supply Chain for one or more development program customers. The individual needs to have good communication and presentation skills. Additionally, as part of the commodity integration team, the candidate will have the responsibility to mature and develop NPI's business analytics and process automation goals, and to align the NPI tactical procurement teams to meet the needs of their customer programs.
