Job description

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established operator, air charter and management service provider to source an IT Manager on a permanent basis based in the Mediterranean.

This is a highly fulfilling role where the client is looking for a proactive and technically skilled In-House IT Manager to take ownership of the company's day-to-day IT operations while contributing to the development of their long-term technology strategy.

This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining internal IT infrastructure, providing support to staff, and ensuring all systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. As the business moves from an outsourced IT model to a fully in-house function, the successful candidate will play a key role in establishing a modern, resilient, and future-focused IT environment, including the practical implementation of AI-driven technologies and automation solutions.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:

  • Provide first- and second-line IT support to all employees
  • Manage and maintain company hardware, software, and network infrastructure
  • Administer Microsoft 365, email, and user account lifecycle
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning and decommissioning
  • Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain cybersecurity posture including updates, backups, patch management, and endpoint protection
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI-powered tools and automation to improve IT operations, internal workflows, and staff productivity
  • Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers as required
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, and system records
  • Continuously improve IT processes, infrastructure, and service delivery

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900, AZ-104, or Microsoft 365 Administrator)

  • Networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA)

  • Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+)

  • Any AI or automation-related certification or formal training (e.g., Microsoft AI-900, Google AI Essentials or similar) is a distinct advantage

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in IT support, systems administration, or a comparable role

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)

  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Solid understanding of network design, implementation, and administration (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)

  • Experience with endpoint device management and mobile device management (MDM)

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and cybersecurity best practices

  • AI & Automation:

  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, LLM-based assistants, AI-driven monitoring or scripting tools) in a professional IT context

  • Ability to assess, pilot, and deploy AI-powered solutions to automate routine tasks, enhance service desk efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making

  • Awareness of the security, ethical, and data-privacy implications of integrating AI tools into a corporate environment

Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and take full ownership of the company's IT environment

Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
