Job description

As a Senior Cloud / Platform Engineer Amsterdam, you help organizations operationalize AI in serious production environments by building the cloud-native platforms and infrastructure these systems actually run on.

One client may be scaling AI workloads across Kubernetes environments running on AWS or Azure, while another is redesigning its platform architecture around event-driven systems, enterprise AI assistants or modern RAG applications.

Because every environment is different, you continuously expand your experience across cloud-native infrastructure, automation, security and distributed systems instead of remaining locked into the same stack for years.

You work closely together with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and AI specialists inside multidisciplinary squads, combining hands-on engineering with architectural thinking.

The work remains highly practical and engineering-driven. One week you may improve CI/CD and GitOps flows for a cloud-native platform, while the next you help design scalable infrastructure for AI systems that must operate securely and reliably in production.

What makes this environment especially valuable is the combination of technical depth, growth and exposure. You work across AWS, Azure and GCP environments, collaborate with highly skilled engineers and stay close to where cloud engineering, platform engineering and AI infrastructure are rapidly heading.

At the same time, you directly experience the impact of your work by collaborating closely with clients both remotely and on-site.

Combined with a strong engineering culture, knowledge sharing, internal academy programs, a modern Amsterdam office and roughly 50% remote work, this is an environment where ambitious cloud engineers can significantly accelerate their development over the coming years.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or Cloud-Native Infrastructure

  • Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Experience with modern cloud-native environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud security
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to read between the lines
  • Fluent English communication skills, * Experience with AI/ML infrastructure
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with GitOps
  • Experience with event-driven systems
  • Curiosity around GenAI and AI engineering

About the company

* Do you want to work on the most impactful development of human history by helping impactful organizations bring AI systems into real-world production instead of building proof-of-concepts that never scale? * Are you looking for a role where Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering and AI infrastructure come together? * Do you enjoy working on complex cloud-native systems together with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and AI specialists? * Would you like to work across AWS, Azure and GCP while accelerating your own future as an engineer? * And how do 50% remote work, an award-winning Amsterdam office, highly technical and emotionally intelligent colleagues and a salary up to €100K sound? Then this is a role you should seriously explore. Your employer: helping companies move AI from hype to reality You join a highly technical AI engineering organization in Amsterdam that helps companies build the cloud and platform foundations behind modern AI systems by engineering solutions that actually run in production. Working here means operating at the spearhead of what is currently possible with AI within the Dutch technology market. Together with Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and AI specialists, you work on projects where AI becomes part of real operational environments. Think of scalable cloud-native platforms, event-driven architectures, AI assistants, RAG systems and modern automation environments that help organizations move faster and work smarter. What makes this environment particularly interesting is the timing. Most organizations are still figuring out how AI can reliably operate at scale. Here, you sit directly at the edge of that transition. You help build the infrastructure, automation and platform capabilities that allow companies to move from experimentation toward real-world adoption. At the same time, you continuously accelerate your own growth as an engineer. Instead of being locked into a single internal stack for years, you work across AWS, Azure and GCP environments while collaborating closely with highly skilled engineers from multiple disciplines. Through internal knowledge sharing, technical communities and the company's academy structure, you continuously deepen your expertise around cloud-native engineering, AI infrastructure and modern platform architecture. The projects are highly collaborative. You work together with your own colleagues in squads, combining remote work with time at client locations and the Amsterdam office. This means you not only build technology, but also directly experience the impact your work has inside leading technology organizations. Few environments place you this close to where cloud engineering, AI and platform engineering are heading over the coming years.
