VIE - Data Analyst - Engineering Department M/F

As a VIE within the Engineering Department, you will contribute directly to the development of projects supporting engineering activities. Working onsite at our Gloucester location, you will collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to design, build, and implement tools that ultimately improve the overall efficiency of the department.

What activity will you work on during your VIE?

• Develop an efficient go-to 'search engine' tool allowing users to identify materials, processes, or ingredients used on drawings or specifications. This includes connecting to multiple existing data sources, proposing & designing a tool (Power BI, Python scripts etc.), implementing the solution & provide support.
• Connect this tool to other data sources, to add value (purchasing database, Health and Safety database, customer services database…)
• Support data import into Engineering Product Lifecycle Management software
• Develop an efficient process to generate REACh Article 33 declarations, using existing databases. This includes specification compilation, project management and solution development.

• Programming Languages: Python / SQL desired

• Power BI and PLM experience is an advantage

• Software Engineering: Software engineering principles, experience with deployment

• Cloud Computing: Awareness of cloud platforms, like AWS for example

• Databases: Experience with databases and data stores

• Experience with Structured and not structured Data sets

• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members.

• Professional English level required
