This is a hands-on role responsible for the stability, security and performance of our college-wide infrastructure across three campuses: Aylesbury, Amersham and High Wycombe.
We don't expect you to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a genuine enthusiasm to learn and the confidence to take ownership of problems and see them through.
As a Systems Administrator, you will:

- Microsoft Entra ID (SSPR, password writeback)
- Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Manager
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- VMware ESXi hosts and SAN storage
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure including VLAN segmentation, subnetting, ACLs and inter-VLAN routing
- Maintain DNS zones and records, SSL certificates and firewall configurations
- Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate account provisioning, AD synchronisation and device management via Intune Autopilot
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across network, server and application layers
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including iSCSI SANs and QNAP/Nimble storage
We'll support you in developing new skills and growing within the role. We're a flexible team that values practical problem-solving over ticking boxes. If you're technically grounded and eager to learn, we want to hear from you.
