Job description

LexisNexis is looking for a C# Software Engineer with full-stack .NET experience to join a team that is responsible for building our Lexis Plus and Lexis AI products.

We are looking for someone who wants to get things done, learn new things, and wants to be a better engineer tomorrow than they are today. We're not expecting you to have mastered each of these before applying - what you don't know, we can help you learn, and we're always learning too, so you may bring skills that aren't listed., * Having a good understanding at a general level of the technical stack and how aspects of the solution work together to realise the overall objective.

  • Proactively using test and deployment automation to assure the quality of delivered software
  • Engaging with product managers and wider stakeholders to ensure we continue to develop features of value for customers and business
  • Driving and advocating for continuous professional development throughout the team.
  • Drive to achieve a high level of competency and ability across a varied technical toolset, in accordance with the systems in use.
  • Working with complex data models
  • Completing complex bug fixes

Requirements

Do you enjoy building robust, data-driven solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment?, * Experience building software using C# and .NET, gained through professional, academic, or personal projects.

  • Experience developing web applications or services, such as APIs or MVC-style applications.
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies, including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Exposure to testing practices, particularly unit testing, and an understanding of why testing matters.
  • Experience using version control systems, such as Git, to collaborate and manage code changes.
  • An interest in continuous learning and self-development, demonstrated through work, study, certifications, community involvement, or personal projects.
  • Awareness of common software development lifecycle approaches (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
  • Some experience or understanding of build and deployment processes, such as CI/CD pipelines or automation tools.
  • Exposure to infrastructure or hosting environments, including cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) or on-premise systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and contribute to improving how software is built and delivered.
