Job description

Cranswick Poultry is a specialty producers of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and leading innovators in our industry, we create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today's busy consumers. Working closely with customers, our bespoke chicken and turkey products offer creative and flavorsome lunchtime solutions.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for you to join the IT team. In this role, you will provide support across five different Cranswick sites, spending one day on each site each week.

Main purpose of the role is - to assist in the maintenance, reliability, and giveday-to-day support of IT systems across the business. Working with Group Service Desk this role provides hands-on technical support to ensure critical IT systems remain stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

The key elements of the role are:

  • Provide IT support to end users across Hull, working with the Group Service Desk to ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT issues, escalating more complex problems to the Group Service Desk when needed.
  • Carry out and develop scheduled preventative tasks tailored to specific site needs.
  • Support and maintain IT equipment including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Assist with the setup, deployment, and roll-out of IT hardware and software across the supported sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions.
  • Provide guidance to local users on IT systems and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Group Service Desk and wider IT team on projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Requires full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel between the Hull sites.
  • Support ongoing projects, resolving incidents, monitoring systems, and assisting with infrastructure activities.
  • Maintain reliable IT operations while developing expertise in supporting end users and managing the Cranswick IT estate.
  • This position requires a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.
