Job description

The School of General Studies is currently looking for a self-motivated, creative and collaborative reporting analyst who shares our passion for supporting non-traditional students, to join our enrollment management team.

Under the supervision of the Director of Software Development and Analytics, the incumbent performs a wide range of data analyses to assist with the execution and improvement of operational processes. The incumbent will also assist in the management, administration, and customization required to effectively maintain the technical applications used by staff throughout the School of General Studies, * Create and develop routine reports utilizing crystal report, SQL, Excel and R/Python, and Crystal Reports.

  • Create reports in Operation Group?s IT systems. These systems include but are not limited to Technolutions Slate, Salesforce Advisor Link, and enterprise reporting.
  • Design and modify database objects and create/alter stored procedures, functions and views
  • Provide support for internal ad-hoc reporting and data analytics requests and various internal process improvement initiatives
  • Work with internal teams to assess and evaluate reporting needs including gathering user requirements and clarifying client objectives.
  • Assess reporting results through data investigation, analysis, and evaluation
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues or data discrepancies by utilizing internal documentation system logs and research
  • Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports
  • Create and/or update Requirement, Process, Design, and Technical Documentations.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills when interacting both internally and externally
  • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues on draft such responses for clients, manager or leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must have a general understanding of relational database architecture and object-oriented programming and SQL. Experience with Slate, Salesforce, Crystal Reports, Python, or R preferred. Ability to effectively track and prioritize multiple competing requests to ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with stakeholder expectations. Experience with project management, business process management, client management, business analysis, and a software development framework preferred., * Bachelor?s degree or equivalent required in computer science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experienced with relational databases
  • Experienced with SQL programming and Python/R.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, as well as ability to conceive of the larger picture in relation to strategic planning required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under short and changing deadlines, while ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proven record of collaborative and independent work.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and tact in a professional setting.
