Job description
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP / QM Lead to lead Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) workstreams in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of manufacturing and quality solution design, delivery governance, and successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practices.
The PP / QM Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to drive transformation across Plan-to-Produce and Quality-to-Release processes., S/4HANA PP / QM Workstream Leadership
- Lead PP and QM workstreams in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).
- Own end-to-end delivery of Plan-to-Produce, Production Execution, and Quality processes.
- Act as the primary escalation point for PP / QM-related topics.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for:
o SAP PP: Demand Management, MRP, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Capacity Planning, Production Orders
o SAP QM: Inspection Planning, Inspection Types, Results Recording, Usage Decisions, Quality Notifications
- Ensure adoption of S/4HANA manufacturing and quality simplifications and innovations.
- Guide decisions on Discrete vs Process Manufacturing scenarios.
S/4HANA Transformation Activities
- Lead Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and business process harmonization.
- Assess and manage custom code (RICEFW) impacts for PP / QM in S/4HANA.
- Lead manufacturing and quality master data conversion and validation activities.
Integration & Cross-Module Coordination
- Coordinate closely with MM, WM/EWM, SD, PM, and FI/CO teams.
- Ensure seamless integration across Procure-to-Produce and Make-to-Deliver processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, interfaces) on enhancements and integrations.
Testing, Cutover & Go-Live
- Lead unit testing, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution for PP / QM.
- Own cutover planning for production orders, batches, and inspection lots.
- Provide go-live and hypercare support, ensuring manufacturing stability.
Governance & Team Leadership
- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology, project standards, and documentation.
- Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts.
- Mentor PP / QM consultants and support knowledge transfer.
Requirements
SAP PP / QM Expertise
- 10-12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in:
o SAP PP (Discrete and/or Process Manufacturing)
o SAP QM
- At least 2-3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a Lead role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes.
S/4HANA & Manufacturing Knowledge
- Experience with:
o S/4HANA MRP and production execution simplifications
o QM integration with MM and PP
o Batch Management, Serial Numbers, and Inspection Lot Processing
- Exposure to Advanced Planning (PP/DS, IBP) is an advantage.
Leadership & Delivery Skills
- Proven experience leading PP / QM delivery in large SAP programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in global onshore-offshore delivery models., * SAP S/4HANA certification in PP or QM
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or Consumer Goods
- Exposure to EWM, PM, or Advanced ATP is a plus, * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions
- Mentoring and coaching mindset
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills, 15+ years of SAP PP/QM (Manufacturing) experience
10+ years of PP/QM (Manufacturing) Solutioning / Architecture experience
5+ years of S/4 HANA experience
Must reside in the US

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $125,685.00-$174,562.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
