Job description
As an Azure Cloud Engineer for the ICAM program you will be responsible for coordinating and executing engineering actions for system and customer events, incidents, changes, deployment, and sustainment activities throughout the system's operational lifecycle for customer applications hosted within a classified on-premises environment.You will be working day-to-day with internal and external customers and stakeholders, including operators, end-users, engineering, development, integration, and program stakeholders. You will ensure that your activities are performed in accordance with program objectives, policies, regulations, and requirements. Additionally, you will support DevSecOps initiatives, CI/CD pipeline operations, infrastructure automation, and containerized application deployments utilizing Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies.Selected candidate will provide full-time onsite support at our Fort Meade, MD facility. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
- Resolve escalated issues and incidents, tracking and updating applicable tickets in the ticketing system, and coordinate additional escalation, if needed.
- Respond to, troubleshoot, address, and resolve escalated system and user events, incidents, and problems in alignment with ITIL framework methodology.
- Conduct system grooming activities, updates, apply STIGs, run scans and mitigate findings, and/or assist in writing POA&Ms to address findings or proposed changes.
- Perform continual maintenance and provide complex solutions for security, backup and redundancy problems.
- Participate and contribute to specific engineering activities, coordinating changes, and problem cases.
- Develop and maintain a range of documentation for processes and procedures related to functional area and responsibilities, i.e., process flow charts, SOPs, TTPs, architecture diagrams, and deployment documentation.
- Provide performance, configuration, and capacity data to ensure the health, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assigned servers/services, as well as supporting data to assist in the planning of customer-facing services, features, and capabilities.
- Monitor the overall health and status of the environment utilizing dashboards and other monitoring tools, and respond to any anomalies or alerts in accordance with the ITIL framework and local policies and procedures.
- Support DevSecOps processes, including CI/CD pipeline management, automated deployments, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code activities.
- Assist with deployment, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized applications and services utilizing Kubernetes platforms and related orchestration technologies.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to support application integration, automated testing, release management, and environment sustainment activities.
- Support cloud-native technologies, scripting, and automation efforts utilizing tools such as PowerShell, YAML, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies.
- Work with senior leadership, both internal and external on planning and executing tasks using Agile methodologies.
- Participate in daily Scrum calls.
- Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced colleagues.
- Other related duties as required.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years' experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Clearance: Minimum of an active Secret security clearance required.Certification: Minimum of an active CompTIA Security+ certification. In addition, candidate must possess an active Computing Environmental certification (CE) in job related duties such as Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud, Microsoft Windows Server, Kubernetes, or DevOps-related technologies.Technical Skills:

Experience in cloud engineering, MS Azure, DevSecOps, and the SDLC.

Familiarity with Kubernetes administration, container orchestration concepts, and cloud-native application deployment methodologies.

Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, source control repositories, and Agile software delivery practices.

Proven track record supporting IT customers as part of an enterprise environment, preferably in the DoW., 8 + years of related experience

Work Requirements
Years of Experience, The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
