Job description
Liberty Mutual is seeking a Scrum Master to guide and coach Agile teams, helping them deliver solutions that protect our business and customers. As a Scrum Master, you will act as a change agent and collaborative partner, enabling teams to improve their processes, grow in capability, and deliver their best work. This role supports multiple teams within an Agile Release Train (ART) and is key to driving agile maturity across the organization., * Facilitate team ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure full engagement and growth of team capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog and support both short- and long-term planning.
- Shield teams from distractions to optimize productivity.
- Coach and mentor teams in Agile principles, fostering a growth mindset and maturity in Agile adoption.
- Identify and remove impediments, manage interdependencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess Agile maturity and partner with peers to improve portfolio-level practices.
- Use data and observation to identify opportunities for team improvement and share best practices across teams.
- Collaborate with Senior Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer to execute the team's path toward Agile maturity.
- Seek coaching and mentoring from experienced Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to refine your own skills.
Requirements
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills to guide teams with diverse personalities.
- Agile experience with a proven ability to move teams forward.
- Active listening, forward-thinking, and presence in team interactions.
- Experience in Agile transformation and working with non-traditional teams.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence preferred.
- Previous Scrum Master experience is required.
- Agile certification preferred.

- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and team-building skills.
