Job description

The Systems / Cloud Administrator will be responsible for the documentation, setup, support, and maintenance of AWS and on-premises infrastructures. This includes installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, and resolving software-related issues. The role also performs system backups and recovery while maintaining data integrity through system monitoring and configuration management.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Network documentation, maintenance, and support
  • Server documentation, installation, support, and maintenance
  • AWS environment setup, support, and maintenance
  • VMware vSphere/ESXi setup, support, and maintenance
  • SQL Server maintenance and support
  • Active Directory documentation and maintenance
  • Firewall maintenance and support
  • SAN maintenance and support
  • Backup documentation and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of experience administering cloud and on-premises environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server installation, patching, and maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and common open-source utilities
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration, Networking, or related discipline
  • Experience with switch configuration and maintenance (Aruba)
  • Experience with Python, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi
  • Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Experience with firewalls
  • Experience with Office 365 administration
