Job description
Lead the technical vision and Agile transformation as a Senior Agile Solution Architect on a high-performing team supporting the modernization and sustainment of mission-critical supervisory systems for a federal agency. You'll architect and guide the delivery of complex, scalable, and secure solutions, drive Agile best practices, and mentor teams across the enterprise. This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana or Knoxville,TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Due to the nature of government contracts, US citizenship is required.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of enterprise-scale solutions using modern frameworks (Angular, .NET Core, cloud platforms)
. Lead Agile transformation initiatives, guiding teams in adopting and maturing Agile and DevSecOps practices
. Collaborate with product owners, developers, UX designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
. Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps, design patterns, and technical standards
. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and compliant with federal requirements (including Section 508 accessibility)
. Guide the integration of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native architectures (Azure DevOps, Git, Docker/Kubernetes)
. Mentor and coach technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments
. Present technical concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership
. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption to enhance enterprise capabilities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
. 8+ years of professional experience in software architecture, solution design, and Agile software development
. Advanced expertise in enterprise architecture for web applications (Angular, .NET Core, RESTful APIs, microservices)
. Demonstrated leadership in Agile transformation, including coaching, mentoring, and scaling Agile practices (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
. Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps), and DevSecOps practices
. Mastery of secure coding, automated testing, and compliance with federal standards (e.g., Section 508, NIST)
. Proven ability to lead technical teams, drive consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to technical and executive audiences
. Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Master's degree in a related technical field
. Certifications in Agile (SAFe Architect, SAFe Program Consultant, CSM, PMI-ACP) or cloud architecture (Azure Solutions Architect)
. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native design
. Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated environments

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $102,000.00 - $223,200.00.
