Remote Optical Network Engineer II

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Optical Network Engineer II to manage design planning, record creation, and capacity fulfillment across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to address issues during capacity projects and designing DWDM networks per standards and future growth needs. The candidate will provide direction in circuit design, review capacity requests, and maintain customer commitments in our database. Additionally, the role includes supporting field operations, managing workload priorities, and participating in operations-related projects. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work around obstacles to meet deadlines are essential.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in telecommunications or data networking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of optical systems (Fuji, Ciena, Adva, Cisco, Infinera, or Nokia) and ROADM technology.
