Chemours is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Care team. This position will be located at an APM Manufacturing Site and report directly to the Manufacturing Excellence Leader .
The Leveraged Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving enterprise-wide reliability, asset performance, and maintenance excellence across multiple sites. This role establishes and standardizes reliability strategies, leverages data and digital tools, and eliminates systemic failures to improve safety, uptime, and total lifecycle cost.
The position partners closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT/OT teams to implement best practices, enhance predictive capabilities, and build organizational competency in reliability-centered maintenance.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Enterprise Reliability Strategy & Standards
- Develop and maintain business reliability standards aligned with RCM, PM, and PdM frameworks
- Standardize reliability methodologies and best practices across all facilities
- Establish asset criticality frameworks and governance models
- Ensure consistent application of reliability processes enterprise-wide
- Performance Improvement & Failure Elimination
- Identify systemic failure patterns across multiple sites
- Lead enterprise-level root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues
- Develop and execute reliability improvement roadmaps
- Benchmark performance and replicate best practices across locations
- Maintenance & Reliability Optimization
- Standardize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across asset classes
- Improve maintenance effectiveness using data-driven insights
- Support and guide implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs
- Lead maintenance optimization initiatives (MRO, planning, and scheduling improvements)
- Data, Analytics & Digital Enablement
- Develop dashboards and analytics for enterprise asset performance (MTBF, MTTR, availability)
- Drive adoption of predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring tools
- Partner with IT/OT teams to improve data quality, integration, and system utilization
- Enable data-driven decision-making across sites
- Capability Building & Collaboration
- Train and mentor site reliability engineers and maintenance teams
- Build enterprise reliability competencies and communities of practice
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and defect elimination
- Collaborate across functions to align reliability strategy with business priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
- 7-10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or asset performance in industrial/manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience implementing reliability programs across multiple sites or at enterprise scale
- Strong expertise in reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA)
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo)
- Strong analytical skills with experience using reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, asset availability)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
- Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills
The following is preferred for this role:
- Advanced reliability expertise (e.g., Weibull analysis, reliability modeling)
- Experience with predictive/condition monitoring technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI-driven or digital/Industry 4.0 maintenance solutions
- Experience in large, complex, multi-site industrial organizations (e.g., chemicals, oil & gas, heavy manufacturing)
- Exposure to capital planning and asset lifecycle cost optimization
- Knowledge of IT/OT integration and data governance practices
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Experience developing enterprise KPI frameworks and governance models
- Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams

Pay Range (in local currency):
$110,544.00 - $172,725.00
